On Sunday, September 2, Chrobry, who play in the regional league, hosted Włókniarz Leśna in Nowogrodziec. From the beginning of the match, the hosts tried to impose their style of play. In the opening minutes, they created several dangerous chances, but the ball did not find its way into Włókniarz’s goal. As time went on, the visitors attacked with increasing danger, but the fans saw no goals before halftime.

Three goals were scored after the break. First, Mateusz Kalka found his name on the scoresheet. Krzysztof Mazur then beat the Nowogrodziec goalkeeper twice, and Włókniarz’s victory became a fact. The home players and fans had plenty of complaints about the referee. In their view, the officiating was biased, and after one incident on the edge of the penalty area, the home team deserved a penalty.

In the next round, Chrobry will face another regional-league newcomer, Piast Bolków, away from home. It will be a good opportunity to break their winless run. In their four matches so far, Chrobry have lost three times and drawn once.
