The incident occurred on Saturday, September 1, at around 5:00 p.m., on the road between Osiecznica and Kliczkowo. An Opel Corsa passenger car driven by a 28-year-old from Bolesławiec County went off the road and crashed into a streetlamp.
The Opel's passenger—a 50-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County—was injured. The man, who had a broken wrist, was taken to hospital. (The damaged electric streetlamp will require repairs).
It is already known that the Corsa driver was speeding. What is more, he was drunk; he had almost 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system. The man will be held responsible for causing an accident while under the influence of alcohol.
