We have just informed you that MZGM removed the dangerous branches from the path near Jeleniogórska Street. The reader who reported the matter to us absolutely disagrees with this statement:

I read today’s information you published with great astonishment—the information concerning the broken oak branches by the ponds on Jeleniogórska Street. As Ms Director Strzyżewska informs you, the problem has been resolved!

Well, NO! I strongly protest against such shoddy workmanship. As it happens, I—as do many Bolesławiec residents—frequently walk in this area, and I am irritated by all the dirt and the constant littering of this beautiful area by the ponds.

Unfortunately, it is the residents themselves who do this, which I regret, but it is unacceptable that an institution representing the city, such as MZGM, allows itself to perform such shoddy work and leave a rubbish dump behind after the job.

We have written repeatedly in these pages about the mess left by litterers in various places across our county. Often, when the matter concerned the City of Ceramics, we also asked for comment on the issue—sometimes from the municipal police, sometimes from the Municipal Housing Management Office. We understand that this problem cannot be eliminated entirely. We know that the services cannot remain on duty in one place around the clock.

Perhaps it is worth ONCE AGAIN—perhaps somewhat naively—appealing to fans of spending time outdoors (and drinking) to take their rubbish with them. All the more so now that summer is here and county residents will certainly be going for walks more often. And quite often with small children.

What do you think? Do you agree with the reader?
