The beating took place over the past weekend on Karola Miarki Street. A couple—a 35-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman—were returning home at night. Without any apparent reason, the perpetrators began punching and kicking the 35-year-old man all over his body, even after he had fallen to the ground. His partner came to his defense. She was also attacked by the aggressors. Witnesses saw the entire incident and notified the police.
The duty officer immediately sent a patrol unit to the scene. The police officers could already see the incident from a distance. When they saw the police car, the two drunken perpetrators, residents of Bolesławiec County aged 23 and 24, began to flee. The officers arrested them moments later.
The attackers were taken to a police cell and, after spending the night there, investigators charged them not only with beating the victims but also with making criminal threats against them.
