We received a tip from a Reader that someone poured leftover concrete into a ditch in the small forest by the road between Żeliszów and Suszki. We asked Gmina Bolesławiec for comment.
Jarosław Babiasz, head of the Agriculture, Real Estate and Municipal Services Department at the Gmina Bolesławiec Office:
The forest in question [...] is administered by Nadleśnictwo Bolesławiec, while it remains disputed whether the ditch is located on property belonging to Nadleśnictwo or is already managed by the District Roads Authority.
As the official adds, cases of this kind are rare. Unfortunately, it is more common for people to dump rubbish in the forest.
The offender may face a fine of up to PLN 500 or a reprimand.
