Due to the attractive location, well-prepared facilities and competitive price, the summer camp was held in Jarosławiec once again—this time at the “Bałtycki” Summer Camp Centre. A total of 139 children aged 6 to 16 enjoyed three sessions. Each session had four groups supervised by educators. Seven children with disabilities took part in the camp and received special care from an additional supervisor.

The campers enjoyed beautiful sunny weather for almost the entire duration of the camp. They made use of sunbathing and sea bathing under the close supervision of lifeguards and educators. They also took part in attractive events, games and excursions. (The camp participants particularly remember the trip to the Hobbit Village.)

Each year, the Friends of Children Society strives to obtain funding to subsidize the summer camp so that the trip is accessible to all children who want to go to the seaside. TPD:

We obtained funding from the Bolesławiec City Hall for children from the city of Bolesławiec and from the KGHM Polska Miedź Foundation for all camp participants. This year, 64 children (46%) benefited from the funding.

Thanks to the financial support of the KGHM Polska Miedź Foundation, we were able to plan more attractions for the children. Feedback from most of the children, parents and educators indicates that the camp was very successful. This is demonstrated by their declarations that they intend to take part in the holiday program organized by TPD Bolesławiec next year.
