The incident occurred on Tuesday, 7 August. As we read on the Facebook profile of volunteer firefighters from Raciborowice (Warta Bolesławiecka municipality):
[…] at 3:16 p.m., the duty officer at the KP PSP command post dispatched us to a forest fire near the village of Okmiany.
Nineteen fire service units from Bolesławiec, Złotoryja and Legnica counties took part in the operation. (Firefighting operations were also conducted from the air).
