The accident occurred on Zgorzelecka Street on Wednesday evening. A man was walking down the middle of the road. At one point, he was hit by an oncoming car. It turned out that the 31-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who was walking along the road was drunk. He had 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. The man who was hit suffered general bruising, but did not want to remain in hospital or undergo any examinations. The driver, meanwhile, fled the scene.
The police are taking steps to identify and arrest the driver.
