Question: why, at the railway crossing on Polna Street, when the barrier is lowered, do you have to wait several minutes before anything passes? And after the train has gone through, quite a lot of time passes again before the barriers are raised.
And added:
When alternating traffic is introduced at the roundabout in Kruszyn, this place will become one of the alternative entrances to the town centre. And quite a traffic armageddon is brewing! That is why the crossing closure should be shortened as much as possible.
As Bohdan Ząbekistotne.pl Bohdan Ząbek from the press team of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. explained to the istotne.pl service, the safety of people is a priority for the company. At railway crossings, everything is configured so that a green signal cannot be displayed for a departing or arriving train until the crossing barriers are completely closed. From the perspective of a driver waiting at the crossing, this can be inconvenient.
We wrote about the matter back in 2013. Details can be found in the article Troublesome railway crossing near Polna Street.
