The tragedy occurred on May 26. At the time, in one of the apartments in Głogów, a 34-year-old woman first held her little daughter under water in a bathtub and then inflicted a cut wound to her neck. The woman and her daughter had come to Głogów from Pabianice to visit family. Household members provided first aid to the girl. An ambulance was called.
The girl was taken to a hospital in Legnica in very serious condition, where she was placed in a medically induced coma, reports Onet.pl. Doctors’ fight for the child’s life lasted more than a month. The child died on June 29. The 34-year-old mother was detained by police and remanded in custody. She faces between 8 years and life imprisonment.
