This morning I visited those affected. Imagine this: the firefighters finished extinguishing the fire at around 3:00 a.m., and unfortunately the full extent of the damage is now visible. We managed to save two rooms, and that is all. Together with the Mayor, I agreed with the Samerek family on the form of assistance that is essential—immediately.
There is no point hiding it—financial support is also needed, so we agreed that the best form of assistance would be to transfer money to the Samerek family’s account, as they know what they need. Even a single zloty is of great significance. This is a family that should be helped because they built this house throughout their lives with their own efforts, without anyone’s assistance. As I discussed with Aleksander Samerek, he said that they had been set back 20 years [...] and must start all over again.
