Relich: We could not accept further deadlines, poor quality and lack of organisation

Below we present a statement by the mayor of Nowogrodziec, Robert Relich:

Dear Residents,

I regret to inform you that, for reasons beyond our control and despite the efforts of the Nowogrodziec Municipality and City local government, I have decided to terminate the investment contracts with the companies carrying out the following projects:

• Redevelopment of the GCKiS gymnasium building in Nowogrodziec for use as a multifunctional hall;
• Revitalisation of the Market Square and T. Kościuszko Street in Nowogrodziec.

Despite the General Contractor’s declarations, we could not accept further deadlines, poor quality, and the lack of organisation and systematic progress in the construction work.

Ahead of us is the necessary selection of a contractor, in accordance with public procurement law, and the resumption of the investment work. We apologise for all the problems.
