There are no signs concerning parking on Marcinkowskiego Street. Drivers often leave their cars on both sides of the street. Some of them drive one side of their car onto the pavement. Others park their cars by the kerb. A reader of the IstotneInformacje.pl website sent the editorial office photographs showing parked cars.
According to the reader, driving along Marcinkowskiego Street often requires weaving around obstacles. Drivers of larger vehicles, such as refuse collection trucks, are in a much worse situation than passenger-car drivers. To get through in a lorry, they have to “squeeze” between passenger cars. They also have to be careful not to accidentally scratch the paintwork or break off a wing mirror.
Another problem highlighted by the reader is parking right at the intersection of Marcinkowskiego Street and Zygmunta Augusta Street. Cars parked this way make it difficult to enter Marcinkowskiego Street. This is particularly troublesome for drivers trying to turn from Zygmunta Augusta Street onto Marcinkowskiego when another car is also leaving that street. The reader suggests that installing a no-stopping sign could solve the problem of getting through Marcinkowskiego Street.
The problem was reported to the Municipal Commune, which is responsible for Marcinkowskiego Street.
