Ms Monika from Sędzimirów contracted tick-borne encephalitis in 2014; she also developed quadriparesis. She received treatment, among other places, at the hospital in Bolesławiec. She was hospitalized until mid-2016.
The case was brought to our attention by the sick woman’s sister, who lives in Bolesławiec. “My sister left the hospital and returned home,” says Ms Agnieszka. “She was fine for a while, but about three months ago her epileptic seizures became more frequent, and with each seizure her brain is damaged more and more.”
Ms Monika’s sister adds:
On behalf of the entire family, I am asking for help because, unfortunately, we cannot afford a private hospital. Monika is only 30 years old; she was always cheerful and happy, and now she has to suffer so much...
