The Provincial Military Staff in Wrocław and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways inform that from 26 May to 4 June, traffic disruptions related to the movement of troops will occur on the A4 motorway (from Jędrzychowice to Wrocław), the Wrocław Motorway Bypass, national road no. 8 (Kudowa Zdrój – Kłodzko – Wrocław), national road S8 (Wrocław – voivodeship border) and national road S5 (Wrocław – voivodeship border).
As we read on the website of the Provincial Military Staff:
From 3 to 15 June, an exercise of the United States Army Command in Europe [...] codenamed Saber Strike-18 will take place in Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.
As part of Saber Strike-18, the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army (Polish: 2nd Cavalry Regiment) will move from its permanent base in Germany, among other places, through Lower Silesia in order to take part in tactical episodes at training grounds in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.
In connection with the exercise, increased military convoy traffic should be expected on roads in Lower Silesia from the last week of May until the beginning of July. These will include transports from troop deployment areas, transfer points to training areas, and return transports to permanent bases.
Particular caution is recommended when travelling on roads along which military convoys, each approximately 1 km long, will move.
