On 19 May, the Polish RAW WRPF Championships took place in Pruszków. Zbigniew Boczar, a resident of Lwówek Śląski and, in everyday life, a soldier of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec, took part in the event.

Although this was already our artilleryman’s fourth consecutive competition within the last three weeks, he managed to win a bronze medal and the title of second runner-up at the World’s Strongest Federation, WRPF, in the up-to-90 kg weight category. During the competition, the soldier attempted to break his personal record, but unfortunately, a 195 kg barbell proved too heavy that day. (The fatigue caused by competing in recent days made itself felt.)

Z. Boczar:

Unfortunately, I am not a machine and need to rest so that I can return to the platform stronger and fight for more.

I would like to thank everyone who supports me and cheers me on. The most important thing is that I was able to finish the season on the podium together with my sons, Fabianek and Brajanek. I would like to thank Centrum Kompleksowej Fizjoterapii Lwówek Śląski, particularly Mariusz Machniak, for helping me prepare for the competition, as well as CER ART from Bolesławiec for its support. I hope that my example will motivate at least one person to start training in the bench press, or perhaps even to compete.

And he adds:

If you would like to begin your adventure with the barbell but do not know where to start, feel free to contact me through my Facebook profile or Instagram at @ZbigniewBoczar. There you can see more photos and videos from competitions and training sessions.
