As part of the event, the Department of City History and the Ceramics Department will be open from 12:00 p.m. to midnight. New exhibitions, presentations and other attractions await visitors. Admission to the museum is free.

Department of City History, 14 Kutuzowa Street

  • 5:00 p.m. – opening of the exhibition by the “Camera” Photographic Association, “Large Formats,” and photographs by Katarzyna Biegasiewicz-Mularczyk
    As part of the 8th Annual Exhibition of the “Camera” Photographic Association, works created during photographic plein-air workshops organized in 2017 will be presented. The following artists will display their works: Joanna Bruździńska, Dagmara Brzezicka, Paweł Brzezicki, Jarosław Cembrowicz, Iwona Champlewska, Anna Dudek, Bożena Gałan, Magdalena Gałkiewicz, Stanisaąw Graczyk, Krzysztof Jędrzejczyk, Agnieszka Karczmarz, Paweł Kijewski, Rafał Klimek, Magdalena Konieczna, Roman Kowalski, Piotr Koza, Piotr Kukla, Krzysztof Łukasiewicz, Grzegorz Matoryn, Katarzyna Matoryn, Jerzy Paluszczyszyn, Krzysztof Pankowski, Andrzej Pękała, Urszula Popielarz, Mariusz Ryż, Piotr Sadowski, Grzegorz Sidorowicz and Bartosz Witaszczyk. The association’s exhibition will be accompanied by a monographic exhibition of photographs by Katarzyna Biegasiewicz-Mularczyk, presenting the artist’s photographic impressions from her numerous travels, including trips to Southeast Asia.
    At 6:30 p.m., the competition will be decided and the best photograph in the “Large Formats” exhibition will be selected.
  • 5:00 p.m. – opening of the exhibition “New Additions to the Museum Collection”
    The exhibition will feature the most interesting objects added to the collection of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec in recent years. These include works by lecturers at the Vocational School of Ceramics, E. Heinecke and A. Hennig; a collection of documents and plans concerning the pre-war history of Bolesławiec’s railway; and graphics presenting the former appearance of Bolesławiec.
  • 7:00 p.m. – “Travel Snapshots” – a presentation of photographs by Grzegorz Matoryn, looking back at the author’s nine-day trip to Norway.
  • 7:30 p.m. – “Nostalgia. The World That No Longer Exists (Sergei Prokudin-Gorsky)” – a presentation by Anna Guzik devoted to the Russian pioneer of color photography, who documented the lives of the people of the Russian Empire before World War I.
  • 8:00 p.m. – “Rzeczka 2018” – a presentation of photographs by members of the “Camera” Photographic Association, taken during the annual plein-air workshop.

Ceramics Department, 13 Mickiewicza Street

  • Exhibition “Silesian Artistic Crafts from the 17th to the 19th Century from the Collection of the Upper Silesian Museum in Bytom.”
    The exhibition presents crafts created in Silesia: pewterware from various centers, artistic cast-iron works from the Gliwice Steelworks, and ceramics from the manufactories in Prószków, Glinica, Racibórz and Tułowice.
  • 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. – nighttime tour of the former Masonic lodge (Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 2, 17 Mikołaja Brody Street)
    A tour of the main hall of the historic headquarters of Bolesławiec’s “Under the Golden Chain” Masonic lodge, built in 1885 according to a design by architect Ernst Hotop (telephone reservation required, tel. 75 644 22 00).
