The incident occurred on 23 April. The duty officer of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police received a telephone report that a man had driven up to the gate of the municipal cemetery from the side of Gdańska Street and thrown various types of municipal waste from the boot of a station wagon, including clothing, cardboard and furniture parts. The unsorted rubbish ended up in... a container for plastic waste.
A patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene and confirmed the report. The officers identified the offender; the Bolesławiec resident was fined.
The man explained his behaviour by saying that he did not know there was a PSZOK (Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point) in Bolesławiec. Therefore, after carrying out a renovation at home, he took the waste to a rarely visited place because he thought that “no one would notice it”.
The Bolesławiec Municipal Police once again reminds residents that such behaviour is unacceptable and punishable. The officers:
Let us remember this, especially when planning a renovation. We would also like to remind you that detailed information concerning the collection of waste, as well as the types of waste that we can deliver ourselves to the Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point at 6 Staszica Street in Bolesławiec, is provided by the Customer Service Office of the Municipal Utilities Management Plant (tel. 75 734 62 71, ext. no. 34).
