A Reader called us and reported that there is a problem with the parking lot by the cemetery (on the Gdańska Street side). As he explained, when the necropolis was managed by the municipal company MZGK, the parking lot was paid, and those who came to visit their loved ones’ graves had no problem parking their vehicles.

– Since the manager changed, this parking lot has been free, and from the morning it has been completely occupied by employees of the nearby ceramics company – the Reader says.

What is more, the man recently witnessed the following situation: a woman using crutches arrived at the cemetery in the morning. Naturally, she had nowhere to park. Fortunately, the ladies from a nearby shop allowed the woman to leave her car in the shop’s driveway.

– This is not even about me – our interlocutor explained. – I mean those older people who cannot come to the cemetery, for example, at the weekend.

Moreover, according to the Reader, if some tragedy occurred at the cemetery during working hours—on the Gdańska Street side, specifically—neither an ambulance nor the fire brigade would be able to get there.

We asked the management of the Miejski Zakład Gospodarki Mieszkaniowej in Bolesławiec for comment on the matter. We will publish the response as soon as we receive it.
