From April 27 to May 6, Bolesławiec police officers conducted intensified operations under the name “May Weekend 2018”. Over the 10 days, 1 road accident, in which 1 person was injured, and 33 collisions were recorded on the roads of our county. The accident in question occurred on the night of May 5–6 on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec. An intoxicated 39-year-old man from Bolesławiec stepped onto the road, directly in front of a properly driven passenger car. The man, who suffered a broken leg and other injuries, was taken to hospital.
In addition, officers caught 4 drunk drivers and 4 drivers who got behind the wheel despite bans imposed on them.
Moreover, 5 drivers who exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by more than 50 km/h lost their driving licences.
