Another store has opened on Kościuszki Street. This time, a Kaufland was built in Bolesławiec. Construction of the hypermarket began in the autumn of last year. On Tuesday (24 February), the store began operating. According to unofficial information, the store has approximately 4,000 m² of floor space. Customers can use 12 checkout counters and a shopping arcade (including a currency exchange office, a butcher’s shop, a shoe store and a bakery). There are approximately 120 parking spaces in front of Kaufland.
On the opening day, the store was very busy. Almost all the parking spaces were occupied. Many older people also came to the store, tempted by the low prices advertised in promotional leaflets. Some people came only to browse and compare prices. Others came out of curiosity. However, there was no longer the same “shopping frenzy” as during the openings of previous stores.
Will the residents of Bolesławiec like the new store? Will prices be lower than those of the competition? Are there already enough grocery stores in our city?
