Parent – a safer driver
If you are planning to have children or already have them, you are certainly aware of how many duties, sacrifices and problems having children involves. On the other hand, it guarantees numerous privileges, headed by social benefits from the state, such as the government’s well-known “500+” program. However, it turns out that being a parent also opens another, considerably less obvious path leading to cheaper third-party liability insurance. How is it that fathers and mothers have a chance of getting cheaper insurance than people without children?
The cheapest third-party liability insurance according to kalkulator-oc-ac.auto.pl is available to drivers who have at least two children and regularly transport them by car. This is because parents simply drive more safely and cause fewer incidents on the road than people without children and single people. These are by no means unverified or arbitrary theories of insurance companies, but verified information based on police statistics. In fact, using logic alone and without looking at the statistics, one can conclude that parents worry more about the health and lives of their children being transported in the car than a young driver worries about their own safety.
Low premiums for parents
Of course, it must always be borne in mind that having children and their number are just one of many factors affecting the amount of the insurance premium, and by no means the most important one. Differences in the third-party liability premium for the same driver and identical car, assuming that in one variant the driver has no children and in the other has three, amount to 5–15% of the insurance price. They are therefore not enormous, but are certainly noticeable for the household budget.
Other factors have a much greater impact on the premium, such as the size of the engine. What is the relationship between aspects such as engine capacity and third-party liability insurance price? The rule is that owners of cars with large and powerful engines pay more for mandatory insurance than people driving small vehicles with a small engine. The car model is also important in terms of the third-party liability premium – if the insurer considers your car to be a sports car, you can expect a higher price.
