We reported at the beginning of last year that the Wizów plant in Łąka (Bolesławiec municipality) had a new owner. As it turned out, the new owner fenced off the plant, but someone vandalized the said fence.
The result? Teenagers climb the Wizów chimney without any safety equipment, record it and then boast about the videos on their Facebook profiles. (We cannot present any of these recordings because those who publish them block access by setting the videos to private. Nevertheless, a concerned parent who saw the recordings notified us about the entire matter).
And yet all it takes is for one of the climbers to faint or for their foot to slip. Then disaster is ready to happen!
As we have established, the police have so far received no reports related to the dangerous climbing. Following our report, officers from the police station in Kruszyn are to look into the matter.
