A large haystack is on fire in the village of Wierzbowa (Gromadka Municipality). Due to the extensive area affected by the fire, extinguishing it is proving difficult. As mł. bryg. Piotr Pilarczyk, deputy head of the Bolesławiec County State Fire Service Headquarters, told us, the operation could last for as long as approximately another 24 hours.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Local Volunteer Fire Service units are securing the site.
