The event is held under the patronage of Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman and the Field Organization of NSZZ Solidarność in Bolesławiec County.
The review was launched in 2014, on the 10th anniversary of the death of the Polish poet, bard and composer Jack Kaczmarski. It is a recurring event and will be held for the fifth time this year. The review aims to commemorate, promote and popularize the work of Jacek Kaczmarski, as well as to promote patriotic and pro-independence ideas and educate future generations.
The review will take place on Tuesday, 17 April 2018, at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre, 17 Chopina Street, Bolesławiec:
- 8:00 a.m. auditions, part one
- 12:00 p.m. auditions, competition section
- 6:00 p.m. final – official announcement of the results and the Laureates’ Concert.

Jacek Kaczmarski is usually referred to as the “bard of Solidarność”, but above all he was a brilliant poet. His work was based on respect for history and national heritage, as well as on emphasizing human uniqueness. Remembering the high standard of last year’s review, we once again invite young people to take on his work.
