Everyone who enjoys Jamaican rhythms is invited to a concert by Method Massiv, taking place on Friday, February 20, at Piwnica Paryska. The group consists of two DJs from Bolesławiec: Fasol and Jegomość (Krzysiek Krzemiński), as well as three vocalists: Himalion from Żagań, and MichaJah and LadyBird from Nowa Sól.

They have been performing in this lineup since 2009. They appeared before the Bolesławiec audience during this year’s finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. On Friday, February 20, they can be heard again. “Modern reggae is ultra-danceable music; you can have a great time with it if you just switch off Engineer Mamoń, meaning ‘if I don’t know it, I won’t have fun,’” Krzysiek Krzemiński told IstotneInformacje.pl Krzysiek Krzemiński. “These are simply sounds made for dancing,” he adds.

Why reggae? “I have always liked these vibrations the most,” Krzysiek explains. As he emphasizes, it is very accessible music, but at the same time considerably more ambitious than what can be heard in most Polish discos. This is also due to its message. Method Massiv’s songs do not always talk about easy and pleasant things, but the group strives to present them in a way that is pleasant to the ear.

The event will begin at 8:00 p.m. Admission will cost PLN 5. IstotneInformacje.pl is the event’s media patron.
