The official presentation of the certificates took place on 13 February at the Complex of General and Vocational Schools. The fifteen students received the documents from Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Board of Bolesławiec County, and Barbara Smoleńska, deputy headmistress of ZSOiZ.
The Europass Mobility certificates were received by: Sylwia Brodzikowska, Beata Jaworska, Anna Jamróz, Karolina Kędzierska, Marta Kojder, Elżbieta Kolińska, Kupczak Dorota, Agnieszka Król, Miriana Piela, Marzena Pieprz, Sylwester Rydzak, Ewelina Styka, Elżbieta Wąsik, Anna Wiśniewska and Wioleta Michla.
The certificates crown a month-long placement that the students completed in Chemnitz, Germany. “We learned how to serve customers in a restaurant, worked at the reception desk and in the kitchen, and cleaned rooms,” says Sylwester Rydzak. “When serving a meal, the order is the most important thing,” says Ewelina Styka. “We start with appetizers, then serve the main courses. Dessert is the final element,” she adds.
Thanks to the “Supporting the professional mobility of future employees in the hotel and catering industry” programme, fifteen students of the Complex of General and Vocational Schools in Bolesławiec travelled to Chemnitz in Saxony in November. The programme, written by ZSOiZ teachers, received a very high evaluation: the school scored 97 out of 100 possible points and was awarded an EU grant of more than €36,000.
Europass Mobility certificates are intended to help young people find work in Poland and other EU countries.
