The couple were arrested by police on Wednesday, 11 February. The 25-year-old woman worked as a saleswoman at one of the kiosks in Bolesławiec. Taking advantage of her position, she had systematically stolen from her employer since September last year. She sold goods to customers but kept the money for herself.
The woman was helped in the scheme by her 25-year-old partner, who removed valuable items from the kiosk. Investigators established that the couple had stolen nearly PLN 9,000.
Both now face up to five years in prison.
