Rescue and firefighting operations were carried out in Szczytnica, where a chimney fire broke out in a residential building. Volunteer firefighters provided assistance to two people evacuated from the building. The fire caused smoke and the appearance of carbon monoxide. The fire was extinguished and the building was ventilated.
The operation lasted more than 6 hours! Units from JRG Bolesławiec, OSP Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, as well as the police and emergency medical services, took part.
The second operation took place at the health centre in Wykroty. “Fortunately, in this case it was not necessary to evacuate anyone, and the operation itself lasted more than 2 hours,” said the uniformed officers from Bolesławiec.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters from Bolesławiec, Wykroty and Nowogrodziec. More information is available on the website of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec.
