As we read on the website of se.pl:
The law adopted by the government is a demotion law, whose provisions establish demotion to the rank of private. Under the draft, deceased military personnel who served in the security services or were members of the Military Council of National Salvation (WRON) may also be demoted. The provisions will therefore cover, among others, General Wojciech Jaruzelski, General Czesław Kiszczak, as well as General Mirosław Hermaszewski, the first Pole to travel into space.
(Incidentally, Mirosław Hermaszewski is the father-in-law of Law and Justice MEP and former Vice-President of the European Parliament Ryszard Czarnecki).
What do you think? Is it a good decision? We invite you to discuss it.
