The incident occurred on 26 February in the vicinity of al. Solidarności and Sudecka in Jelenia Góra. The municipal officers who arrived at the scene were informed by the reporting person about a man walking on the roadway and behaving strangely, with a head injury. According to the reporting person, the man had gone in the direction of the allotment gardens.
In the allotment area, the officers found a shed beside which a 65-year-old man was lying on the ground. He had maxillofacial injuries and heavy bleeding from his nose. The officers provided first aid to the injured man and called an emergency medical team to the scene.
The man was seriously hypothermic (30°C). He was taken to hospital.
