During the February session of the Bolesławiec County Council, Jan Russ, a Law and Justice councillor, suggested that the Biedronka store on Tysiąclecia Avenue in Bolesławiec had been built “illegally” and submitted an extensive interpellation on the matter. He spoke, among other things, about irregularities concerning the store’s parking lot and its distance from a residential building.
J. Russ also asked who had issued the construction permit and who had checked whether the construction project for the discount store in question complied with the law. (Representatives of the County Executive Board announced that the councillor would receive a written response.)
Press Office of Jeronimo Martins Polska S.A.:
We would like to inform you that the Biedronka store on Tysiąclecia Avenue in Bolesławiec was built in compliance with the applicable law. Furthermore, out of concern for the comfort of customers and residents of the nearby building, we carried out an additional investment in the form of a wide pavement separating the store and parking lot from the neighbouring residential building. We also emphasise that we continuously care about the comfort of the local community. One example of such action was the installation of bollards separating the parking lot from the aforementioned pavement after we observed that some customers were parking their cars on the pavement. We are attaching a photograph of this additional investment.
What do you think? We will return to this subject.
