We recently reported that potholes had appeared again on Cieszkowskiego Street in Bolesławiec, near the railway crossing.
Cieszkowskiego Street is a national road, but PKN Orlen owns the crossing. At the beginning of this year, following our intervention, the company patched the potholes. However, as a Reader informed us, it did little, because the potholes appeared again.
We asked PKN Orlen’s press office whether there was a chance that these potholes would finally be repaired properly. Here is the company’s response:
Due to the winter period, which is unfavorable for carrying out any renovation work, repairs to the surface of the crossing of the railway track with national road no. 94 at Cieszkowskiego Street in Bolesławiec are being carried out on an interim basis.
In order to definitively remove the surface damage at the crossing, we have announced a tender for the purchase of renovation work. The renovation is planned to be completed by the end of May 2018.
