The former St. Joseph’s Hospital building on Cicha Street in Nowogrodziec will undergo a comprehensive renovation to create a Specialist Care Home. The project will involve the reconstruction and extension of the existing former hospital building to adapt it for new functions. As a result, a Specialist Care Home will be established, with a car park, internal access roads, pavements, green areas, landscaping features and lighting.
The project activities include, among other things, modernising the building and developing the surrounding area, carrying out electrical and sanitary installation works, conducting thermal modernisation, purchasing equipment and adapting the facility to the needs of people with disabilities.
The Specialist Care Home will accommodate 30 dependent people requiring care due to disability and illness. It will be located on the first and second floors. All rooms and facilities will meet sanitary standards concerning equipment and technical solutions.
The total value of the project is more than PLN 2.2 million, of which nearly PLN 830,000 comes from an EU grant. The Specialist Care Home will be ready in June 2019. (The agreement for this project was signed on Tuesday, 13 February, by Lower Silesian Marshal Cezary Przybylski and the Mayor of the Town and Municipality of Nowogrodziec, Robert Relich.)
