"It is not the case that Finryan could in any way threaten or hostilely take over our hospital," explained County Head Krzysztof Konopka. "The local government will continue to have full control. If we combine the County Office's 51% stake with the city's dozen or so percent, together we will have approximately 70% of the shares in this venture," the county head assured.
The Finryan Group's proposal was one of two offers considered by the County Office. It turned out that there were not many parties willing to help transform a hospital carrying debt of PLN 26 million.
Thanks to Finryan's involvement, a preliminary agreement was reached with the hospital's creditors and bailiff enforcement proceedings were suspended. This is the first element of the hospital's recovery program. The Szpital Powiatowy company is now to be established with the participation of the Finryan Group. The majority of shares in the company is to belong to the county authorities, the city and nearby municipalities. There is therefore no possibility that Finryan will take over or control the company.
Finryan is a Capital Group divided into three segments: advisory, financial and investment. It operates similarly to banking institutions or entities involved, for example, in obtaining loans. It earns money in a similar way. "The advisory segment has been cooperating with the healthcare sector since 1996," said Tadeusz Góralski, president of Finryan Instrumenty Finansowe. Finryan has been providing legal, analytical, property, personnel, management and other services for six years.
