On January 31, another edition of Entrepreneurship Days for Middle School Students began at the Complex of General and Vocational Schools. Honorary patronage over the initiative was assumed by Karol Stasik, Bolesławiec County governor. Bank Zachodni WBK S.A., Branch 1 in Bolesławiec, was a co-organizer of the activities.
This year, classes for middle school students were held under the slogan Economists are everywhere! – how to understand economics? The aim was to promote entrepreneurial attitudes among young people and introduce them to the tasks of economic analysis.
The director of ZSOiZ, Laura Słocka-Przydróżna, welcomed 40 students from nearby middle schools along with their supervisors. The middle school students then listened to a short lecture by Katarzyna Nastalska from Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. The lecture was titled: Safe Banking – Learn the Rules of Safe Banking.
After the lecture, the students completed tasks related to an investor’s cost estimate, practiced their creativity and imagination using nails, and rescued eggs from the force of gravity.
This year, middle school students from Nowa Wieś and from Bolesławiec’s “number one,” “number two” and “number three” schools attended the meeting. The initiative was an introduction to the Financial Sharks event, which will be held at ZSOIZ in March.
