Last week, the art workshops “Paint My World,” led by visual artist Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska, came to an end. Japan was the central theme of the classes. The young artists transferred their visions of the Land of the Rising Sun onto paper.
“The latest animated film at Forum cinema proved to be a real hit,” Iwona Bojko from the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal. The film “Madagascar 2” attracted a huge number of animated-film fans. More than 2,000 people watched the sequel to the major box-office hit!
On Thursday, 22 January, the puppet-theatre performance “Thumbelina” was held at Forum. The cinema lobby was packed. Around 300 children watched the performance.
Adult theatre fans may have been interested in the performance “Empty Place or Dreams of the Ocean,” presented by Sylwia Hanff and Teatr Limen, which took place on Friday evening. Next Thursday, 29 January, the butoh dance workshops led by Sylwia Hanff will come to an end. The classes are being held as part of The Play City 2 project.
Modern dance workshops are underway at Orzeł cinema, while origami classes led by Adam Szewczyk will begin on Thursday at BOK’s Długa Gallery. For those who do not believe in magic, the centre has prepared an illusion show. It can be seen on 29 January at 11:00 in the Forum hall.
The cinema program is equally impressive. This week, film fans will be able to see: “Winx Club: The Secret of the Lost Kingdom,” “Lucky Luke in the Wild West,” “Journey to the Moon” (3D film), and the screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling novel “Twilight.” Tickets cost only PLN 11.
