Recently, new works have gone on display at the Museum of Ceramics on Mickiewicza Street. Among the particularly valuable items is the latest collection of the “Ceramika Artystyczna” Cooperative, comprising more than one hundred pieces and donated to the museum, as well as vases from the beginning of the 20th century donated by a former resident of Bolesławiec.

The exhibition presents several dozen exhibits that may amaze visitors with their originality and innovation: alongside the well-known stamped ceramics, there are also vessels decorated using other methods. In addition, the City History Department, established in 1995, houses exhibits connected with Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County. Among its many exhibits, particular attention is drawn to a collection of postcards from Bolesławiec and the localities that make up the county, which already numbers more than one thousand items.

The department has received, among other items: a photograph depicting firefighters from Bolesławiec from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries; substitute banknotes from the city of Bolesławiec and Ocice dating from the early 1920s; a map of the Silesian duchies from the late 18th century; a map of the northern part of Bolesławiec County from 1830; and fragments of a cast-iron classical-style candlestick, donated by the guild of Bolesławiec carpenters in 1843.
