The accident occurred on Monday (January 29) before 6:00 p.m. on the road from Lubin to Polkowice. On national road no. 3 near Biedrzychowa, a semi-trailer detached from a truck and collided with an oncoming passenger minibus. Another minibus and a passenger car then crashed into the minibus involved in the incident.
Units from across the region are being called to the scene. The Specialized Technical Rescue Group from Bolesławiec was also dispatched to the accident, comprising three units (two heavy rescue vehicles equipped with hydraulic equipment and a minibus equipped, among other things, with a heated tent for the injured).
Route no. 3 was blocked in both directions. On Tuesday morning, a man injured in the accident died at a hospital in Lubin. Thus, the death toll rose to 3. Sixteen people are injured.
