Four people, including a child, were taken to hospital as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. The incident occurred on Friday (January 26) in one of the multi-family buildings in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. Firefighters checked the carbon monoxide concentration in the building. The measuring device detected dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in two apartments. There were 100 ppm in one and 30 ppm in the other. The likely cause of the carbon monoxide concentration was a leaking chimney system.
We have reported on the istotne.pl portal istotne.pl many times about how dangerous carbon monoxide is to people. It is enough to mention that around 100 people die in Poland every year as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
