The exhibition at Legnica’s Ring Gallery presents a selection of works created during outdoor symposiums over the past five years. It showcases the results of artistic struggles with clay and experiments using raw materials available at factories in Bolesławiec, including various ceramic works: sculptural forms, installations and spatial compositions, diverse in their choice of artistic means of expression and styles.
Venue: Ring Gallery, Rynek 12. The exhibition is open until 4 February 2018.
This is the second cross-section exhibition of the Bolesławiec Ceramic Symposium. In April 2017, the welcoming premises of the Stara Kopalnia Centre for Science and Art hosted a presentation of works from more than thirty symposiums. The exhibition featured 164 ceramic sculptures, which had been stored in BOK-MCC warehouses. Sixteen pallets of ceramic works were transported to Wałbrzych in a special shipment. Mateusz Grobelny oversaw the entire project; for five years, he has served as commissioner of the Symposium in Bolesławiec and curator of the exhibition in Wałbrzych.
