We have only just written about the puddle on Dolne Młyny Street in Bolesławiec. Now we have received an email from a Reader with the telling subject line “A swimming pool instead of a sidewalk.” (It concerns Staroszkolna Street.) The man wrote:
For many years, despite numerous renovations of the surface [...], water has been collecting here across the entire width of the sidewalk and over a length of approximately 15 metres. It is impossible to walk through there normally; you have to use the roadway or the swamp on the lawn.
He added: “Is this normal in the 21st century???”
As we have managed to establish, the county authorities intend to resolve this problem in the future. Exactly when remains unknown for now. We will return to the subject.
