Bolesławiecki Klub Sportowy Bobrzanie and the IstotneInformacje.pl website invite you to take part in a poll for the most popular athlete and team. Each club submitted two candidates in the “individual” category—the most popular athlete—and two in the “team” category—the most popular team.

Voting will be possible only via the internet. Readers will vote for their chosen athlete and team. Voting will begin on Monday, 19 January after 4:00 p.m. Voting will end on 15 February. Sports clubs interested in entering their candidates in the poll are asked to contact the organizers by email by 19 January. Athlete and team nominations can be sent to: redakcja@istotne.pl

The official announcement of the poll results and presentation of prizes to the winners will take place on 21 February, during the “Piłkarski Śledzik” sports ball at Restauracja Prnjavor. The organizer of the poll is Bolesławiecki Klub Sportowy Bobrzanie. The exclusive online patron is the IstotneInformacje.pl website.

  • Robert Nitarski – player of the BKS Bobrzanie first team. Team captain. Winner of the Polish Cup at district level.
  • Marek Kumoś – player of the BKS Bobrzanie first team. The most consistent player in the autumn round of the 2008/09 season. Winner of the Polish Cup at district level.

Most popular team:

  • BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec Orlik team (born in 1997 and younger), coached by Coach M. Szapiel. Winners of the Lower Silesian Championship in their age category.
  • BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec first team – IV league, winner of the Polish Cup at district level.

  • Wojciech Leszczyński – member of Poland’s U-16 national team, participant in the 2008 European Men’s U-16 Cadet Basketball Championship in Italy (August 2008), Poland’s top scorer at the European U-16 Cadet Championship in Italy (average 14.5 points per game), and the top scorer in the cadet league of the Lower Silesian–Lubusz district in the 2007/2008 season (average 52.4 points per game).
  • Grzegorz Weselak – member of the Lower Silesian provincial U-15 men’s basketball team, gold medalist at the 2008 National Youth Olympiad in men’s basketball.

  • Jacek Nabożny – Polish Combined Events Champion, Zielona Góra 2008. Seventh place at the World Championships, Bydgoszcz 2008. Polish record holder in the heptathlon, Spała 2008. Polish indoor runner-up in the Junior Combined Events Championships, Spała 2008. Fifth place at the Polish Junior Championships, Toruń 2008 (high jump: 200 cm). Seventh place in the 4×400 m relay. Lower Silesian record holder in the decathlon—7,326 points.
