The county hospital received another ambulance from Lower Silesian Voivode Paweł Hreniak. The ceremony handing over the ambulance took place on Thursday, January 4, at the Hospital Emergency Department. (The voivode was the honorary guest of the Social Council of the Health Care Complex in Bolesławiec.)
The voivode spoke:
I am very pleased that once again I can be here with you, in Bolesławiec, with good news. We know that the needs of emergency medical services are enormous. This ambulance is much-needed equipment that will replace a worn-out ambulance that has already covered more than 500,000 km.
Mr. Hreniak thanked Senator Rafał Ślusarz, County Councillor Jan Russ and member of the Social Council at the Bolesławiec county hospital Szymon Pogoda, who had appealed to the voivode to provide further funds for our Health Care Complex, as well as the hospital director, Adam Zdaniuk.
The official also asked the chaplain of the Bolesławiec Health Care Complex, Rev. Prelate Dr. Habil. Andrzej Jarosiewicz, to “sprinkle the ambulance thoroughly so that what happened last year in Kłodzko would not happen.”
Cezary Przybylski, the Lower Silesian marshal, congratulated the hospital and thanked the voivode. He also recalled that, as part of the Regional Operational Programme, our hospital is implementing—with facilities from Legnica and Jelenia Góra—a project worth nearly PLN 2.4 million related to oncology. “This also clearly means that medical care for the residents of Bolesławiec County will be at an increasingly higher level,” he stressed.
Bolesławiec County Head Karol Stasik:
On behalf of the 90,000-strong community of Bolesławiec County, I would like to sincerely thank the voivode, wish him success in the new year, and wish that the voivode continues to remember Bolesławiec County, which is an important county on the map of Lower Silesia.
“Our fleet is very worn out,” Adam Zdaniuk told istotne.pl. “The gift from the voivode will undoubtedly reduce the failure rate and strengthen mobility, and thus make it easier to reach those in need.”
Let us recall. The voivode provided financial support to the emergency medical teams of the Health Care Complex in Bolesławiec. The funds received were allocated to the purchase of an ambulance and medical equipment:
- PLN 400,000.00 for the purchase of an ambulance
- PLN 58,000.00 for the purchase of a massager
- PLN 35,000.00 for the purchase of a ventilator
- PLN 14,000.00 for the purchase of a cardiac chair.
