The Bolesławiec Centre – International Ceramics Centre prepared, as every year, a rich programme for the Star of Kindness. A parade of Santa’s Helpers crossed the Market Square: children from the city’s public and private preschools, accompanied by the municipal brass band and majorettes. The competition for the most beautiful nativity scene was decided.
Free framed photos with the hashtag #KochamBolesławiec and complimentary calendars were prepared for residents – the event’s patrons were MZGK Bolesławiec, Rhenus Polska and istotne.pl. A very spectacular ice-sculpting demonstration took place. Armed with a saw, the artist carved Santa Claus from a large block of ice before the audience’s eyes. On stage, we watched the folk performance “King Herod”, appearances by the “Niezapominajki” folk group from Osła, the “Herody” group from Gościszów and the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble.
After the residents’ Christmas meeting with the president of Bolesławiec, the exchange of greetings and the sharing of the Christmas wafer, everyone was invited to sing carols together. The following performed carols with the residents: the “Bolesławiec” Municipal Brass Band, the BOK – MCC vocal studio, US ARMY soldiers, the choir of the Association of Re-emigrants from Bosnia, the “Cantate Deo” Bolesławiec Municipal Choir and the “Jutrzenka” Municipal Song and Dance Ensemble.
