Non-staff member of the Bolesławiec County Board Zbigniew Mitera has received the Gold Honorary Badge of the Polish Football Association. (The matter was reported during the December session of the Bolesławiec County Council by the head of that body, Ryszard Kawka.)
“I have been involved in football for several decades, and for more than a dozen years I was president of Sparta Zebrzydowa,” the honoree told istotne.pl. Councillor Mitera is a member of the Jelenia Góra District Football Association. He received his first PZPN badge—the bronze one—15 years ago from the association’s then head, Michał Listkiewicz. Later, he received the silver badge from Grzegorz Lato. “And now I have received the gold one from my namesake, Zbigniew Boniek,” adds the local government official from the Nowogrodziec municipality.
Why football? “I like sport in every form: skiing, volleyball and basketball. But, as is the case with every Pole, football is closest to my heart,” emphasized the member of the County Board.
Congratulations!
