On December 19, a gas explosion occurred in one of the residential buildings in Dolne Młyny. Four people suffered burns and were taken to a hospital in Bolesławiec. One of the injured people was transported to the hospital in a fire service vehicle. The injured include two women and a man (residents of the building), as well as a man who was carrying out work on the gas installation. The gas installation was being replaced in the building.

Six fire service units were at the scene—four from Bolesławiec (PSP) and one each from Brzeźnik and Warta Bolesławiecka (OSP). The cause of the explosion is not yet known. Police are investigating the details of the incident. The section of Dolne Młyny Street at the intersection with Góralska Street is closed to traffic.
