We invite you to this extraordinary event at 7:00 p.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at Zamkowy Square.

For several years now, the Bolesławiec Star of Kindness has been organized every December in the beautiful setting of Bolesławiec Market Square. During the annual pre-Christmas gathering of residents with the Mayor, we sing carols together, share the Christmas wafer and exchange good wishes. This year, it will take place on December 21. The highlight of this year’s event will be the Christmas Concert, featuring Stanisław Soyka and Joanna Woś.

Stanisław Sojka has been one of the leading artists on the Polish music scene for years. He composes and sings songs about love and its absence, longing and fulfillment, but he does not shy away from the great problems of the modern world. His output includes more than 30 albums, several of which achieved multi-platinum sales. He has never succumbed to fashions or trends. He developed his own musical language, making him one of those artists whose style is recognizable from the very first notes, while the richness of his repertoire can be overwhelming. He has dozens of original songs to his name, although it is difficult to overlook the fact that he has composed music for many poems by Polish poets—and not only Polish poets.

Joanna Woś possesses exceptional vocal talent and a sonorous, impeccably pure voice with a very wide range. She is a laureate of numerous prestigious vocal competitions and festivals. She made her debut, with great success, in the title role of Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor at the Grand Theatre in Łódź. Public enthusiasm and critical acclaim have been inseparable elements of the artist’s career, and her subsequent roles have always been received with the highest praise. She can enchant audiences not only with her spectacular coloratura, but also with her lyricism and outstanding dramatic talent.
