According to experts from the National AIDS Centre, an HIV infection occurs somewhere in the world exactly every 6 seconds. Most people are not even aware of it.

Unfortunately, failing to treat this infection leads to the development of the very dangerous disease AIDS. Consequently, meetings, lectures and events devoted to the disease and people struggling with it are held throughout Poland every year. During this time, the most important issues related to AIDS are discussed.

Female officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lubin, together with representatives of the sanitary inspection, joined the commemorations of the observance. As part of competitions held at the Secondary School Complex in Rudna and Lubin’s Sports School Complex, presentations on HIV/AIDS prevention were given. Participants in the meetings also received educational materials.
