“I organized a meeting with the commander of the 11th Lubusz Armoured Cavalry Division, Gen. Stanisław Czosnek, the commander of the 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade, Col. Dariusz Parylak, and the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Cezary Przybylski, regarding the possibility of obtaining funds to build reinforced shoulders along the county road between Świętoszów and Rudawica,” said county governor Karol Stasik. “Only after the extensive movement of American military convoys did the truth come out: the road shoulders are at risk of being destroyed. When we were preparing the design for this road, there was not yet any talk of US Army soldiers being present in our county.

The investment is estimated to cost PLN 3.1 million gross. It is already known that the Marshal’s Office will not provide money for this purpose. Karol Stasik, together with Gen. Czosnek and Col. Parylak, intend to ask the head of the Ministry of National Defence, Antoni Macierewicz, for assistance.

We will return to this subject.
